About Asar Engineering

Gear and transmission parts, made in Gujarat since 2015

Asar Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is a manufacturer and supplier of gears and power transmission components. Our manufacturing unit is at Gandevi in Gujarat, on National Highway 48, and our sales office is in Goregaon, Mumbai.

A lot of what we make is built to order. Customers send us a drawing, a sample, or a worn gear taken out of a machine, and we work out the dimensions and material, cut the teeth and, where the job needs it, induction harden the wearing surfaces. Our videos of spiral bevel and heavy-module spur gear teeth cutting show some of that work.

The range covers industrial transmission gears, chain sprockets, couplings, gearboxes, idler rollers, mechanical seals, transmission chain and conveyor, feed and extruder screws.

How we work

Industrial gear manufacturer, supplier and exporter

Buyers come to us for different reasons. Some need a one-off replacement gear by the end of the month, some want a steady supply of sprockets or couplings for machines they build, and some are sourcing from outside India. Here is how we handle each.

As a manufacturer

Parts are produced at our Gandevi unit. We cut gear teeth ourselves, from heavy-module spur gears to spiral bevel gear and pinion sets, and offer induction hardening for teeth, journals and other wearing surfaces. If you only have a sample or a damaged part, we can make the replacement from that.

As a supplier

For maintenance teams and machine builders we supply standard and repeat items: helical gears, duplex sprockets, HRC couplings, worm reduction gearboxes and more. Repeat orders are made to the same drawing, so the part you receive matches the last one.

As an exporter

We hold an Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) and are MSME registered, and our registration certificates are available to view. If you are buying from outside India, send your drawing, material and quantity, and we will quote with the delivery terms you need.

What to include in your enquiry

  • A drawing, a sample, or photos of the part with its main dimensions
  • Material and hardness, if you have them
  • For gears: module or DP, number of teeth, face width, and bore and keyway size
  • Quantity and the date you need the parts

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask Us

Answers to what purchase and maintenance teams usually ask before sending an enquiry.

Ask Your Question

What does Asar Engineering manufacture?

We make industrial transmission gears, chain sprockets, industrial screws (conveyor, feed and extruder screws), industrial couplings, idler rollers, mechanical seals, transmission chain and gearboxes. In all there are 38 product types across these 8 families, and many are made to the customer's own drawing or sample.

Where is your manufacturing unit, and do you have an office in Mumbai?

Our manufacturing unit is at H No. 544, Ishwar Nagar, Khaparia, National Highway 48, Gandevi, Kharel, Gujarat 396430. Our branch office is on the 1st floor, Oberoi Garden City, Western Express Highway, Goregaon, Mumbai 400063. Please call before visiting either location.

Can you make a gear or spare part from my drawing or a sample?

Yes. Send us a drawing, a sample, or even a worn part taken out of a machine. We work out the dimensions and material, cut the teeth and, where the job needs it, induction harden the wearing surfaces. If you only have photos, include the main dimensions and we will tell you what else we need.

What details should I send to get a quote for a gear?

The module or DP, number of teeth, face width, bore and keyway size, material and hardness (if specified), quantity and the date you need the parts. For helical and spiral bevel gears, add the helix or spiral angle and the hand. A drawing or a sample covers most of this in one go.

Which types of gears do you cut?

Spur, helical, herringbone, internal, bevel, spiral bevel and worm gears, as well as racks, pinion shafts, spline shafts and timing pulleys. We cut teeth in-house on gear shaping and hobbing machines, and spiral bevel gears on a CNC setup.

Do you offer induction hardening as job work on our own parts?

Yes. Our induction hardening machine is used for our own gears and shafts and also as job work on parts customers send in, such as gear teeth, journals and other wear surfaces. Tell us the material, the area to be hardened and the hardness you need.

Do you export to buyers outside India?

Yes. We hold an Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) and are MSME and GST registered; the certificates are on our Certificates page. For export enquiries, send your drawing, material and quantity, and we will quote with the delivery terms you need. Parts for dispatch are packed in wooden crates.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

It depends on the part. Some items are made singly as replacements, while others make sense only in batches because of setup time. Send the quantity you need with your enquiry and we will tell you what is practical and what it costs.

How are parts checked before dispatch?

Parts are checked on the machine and before packing, including runout checks with dial gauges and dimensional checks with measuring instruments. If you need specific checks or a report with your order, mention it in your enquiry.

How do I send an enquiry?

Use the enquiry form on this website, call us on +91-9898059219, or email info@asarengg.com. Attach your drawing, sample photos or part details, the quantity and your required date, and our team will come back with a price and delivery time.
